Schimenti Construction Company names new Corporate Safety Director
New position established to create all-encompassing safety program
RIDGEFIELD, CT - Schimenti Construction has announced the hiring of Thomas C. Madden as the company’s new Corporate Safety Director.
The newly-formed position was established to facilitate the creation of an all-encompassing safety program. The program will be designed to exceed construction industry standards and further establish Schimenti Construction as a safety leader in the industry.
Madden comes to Schimenti with 17 years of employee health and safety experience. He earned his degree in Occupational Safety Studies from Keene State College and holds several safety training certifications.
Madden previously worked for a large insurance carrier as well as industry-leading regional and national general contractors in project safety and engineering roles. He served as the Mid-Atlantic Division safety manager for a national mechanical contracting firm and his leadership helped secure strong statistical safety records on major projects such as the Pentagon Renovation Project and the National Institute of Health Neuroscience Research Center.

With Schimenti, Madden will be responsible for implementing and managing the safety programs, procedures and trainings. He will work with the executive team to help mitigate risk as well as pre-plan the company’s projects to uphold a high standard for safety while enhancing the company’s culture.
