Schimenti Construction recently completed IT’SUGAR’s newest retail location on New York City’s upper west side at the intersection of 61st Street and prestigious Broadway.

This colorful and energetic candy land adventure was designed by Sargenti Architects, 461 From Road, Paramus, NJ.  The highlight of the official opening was the appearance of tennis star, Maria Sharapova, and the introduction of her new Sugarpova line of candies.

The 1,989 square-foot store is not your ordinary candy retail experience. It’s a trendy sweets shop and a land of make believe come true for the stylish and young at heart. IT’SUGAR is one of the largest and fastest growing specialty candy gift retailers in the world with over 50 retail locations.

Its stores are only located in U.S. hotspots such as New York City, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Miami, Palm Beach and trendy international destinations including Grand Cayman, Dubai and London.

IT’SUGAR is the exclusive home to several of the world’s largest boxes of candy including Nerds, Laffy Taffy, Gobstoppers, Sweetarts and Poprocks. IT’SUGAR also offers thousands of sugar-intensified goodies, signature appeal, accessories and novelty gifts.  Bold colors and wide entrances are part of the store’s design scheme, which is intended to entice shoppers to stop and shop inside.
