• JACX&CO is a modern industrial food hall anchoring the sprawling mixed-use development by Tischman Speyer in Long Island City. The space hosts a line-up of fresh culinary concepts from chefs throughout the five boroughs in NYC, and is the first of its kind in the burgeoning Long Island City neighborhood. Schimenti was tasked with the full build-out of the core & shell space, including the installation of a new structural mezzanine and eight unique vendor stations equipped with prep kitchens. The “modern industrial” design aesthetic is exemplified by blackened metal finishes and polished concrete contrasted by reclaimed wood flooring. We installed a number of standout architectural features, including a feature staircase, large-scale metal scrim enclosure and main bar. Completed in the middle of the pandemic, we doubled down our efforts to deliver a space for the community to gather and for businesses to thrive.

  • “The opportunity to work with Tishman & Speyer on this development-defining project was truly incredible. Our team worked tirelessly to deliver a flawless product that reflects the elevated industrial aesthetic, and delivered on-time despite the pandemic bringing NYC to a grinding halt. I couldn’t be prouder to see this destination already bustling with locals. ”
