Schimenti Construction completed the renovation and expansion of the Davidoff of Geneva flagship store at 515 Madison Avenue in New York City. Spanning approximately 3,300 square feet across two levels, the project included a complete interior renovation of the first floor and cellar, as well as an expansion of the lower level to enhance both retail and lounge offerings for guests.

This high-end fit-out introduced all-new non-structural partitions, upgraded restrooms, and comprehensive mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems. Specialty installations included a humidification system within member lockers, frameless glass partitions, and intricate MEP coordination to support five water-source heat pumps. These systems required precise planning and integration within a tight footprint, while maintaining active coordination with an occupied building and adjacent retail tenants.

Despite national delays on WSHP units and a design oversight that required the addition of booster pumps to meet pressure demands, the team maintained progress through clear, ongoing communication with the client, architect, engineers, and consulting teams. Creative sequencing enabled construction to continue around delayed equipment, allowing for ceiling areas to remain open and accommodating late-arriving units without compromising other trades or finishes.

The result is a refined, hospitality-forward boutique that reflects the Davidoff brand’s commitment to premium craftsmanship and immersive experience. The space now includes two luxurious cigar lounges, a walk-in humidor featuring a suspended tobacco leaf display, and multiple membership options for cigar connoisseurs, transforming the location into a destination for elevated retail and private events.
