Priority One

  • Before Anything… Safety.

  • The safety and well-being of our employees, subcontractors, clients and the general public, is the most critical component of our business. Our safety goal is to have zero injuries and zero time loss due to accidents. To achieve this we’ve implemented numerous programs and standards including:
  • Require personal protective equipment on every site
  • Employ AGC as our independent safety auditing company
  • All superintendents have 30 HR OSHA training
  • First Aid/CPR/AED training from American Red Cross
  • Created “Safe on Purpose” initiative

Experience Modification Rate

We continue to successfully beat industry-wide safety standards and achieve significantly lower risk scores by diligently maintaining our policies, continually implementing new safety programs and taking a proactive approach to reduce hazards and prevent injuries.

Schimenti has achieved a Gold Level STEP Safety Award from the Associated Builders and Contractors in 2018 for our ongoing efforts in the development of a quality safety program. Safety is a top priority, so congratulations to our field teams for their commitment and to the Safety department for this recognition.

Seeking and Finding the Right Direction.

  • Schimenti’s early involvement prior to construction can greatly minimize costly surprises and allow you to ask “what-if” questions about budgeting, scheduling, materials, and design options. Our knowledge of material and construction costs, structural alternatives, and mechanical and electrical systems can significantly impact the quality, cost, and timing of construction.

Design / Build

Designing. Building. Delivering.

  • Minimizing owner risk and reducing the delivery schedule by overlapping the design and construction phases requires a team of construction professionals who understand how to effectively combine design, permit, and construction schedules. Our design/build team not only understands the process, they appreciate the intricacies of pulling critical schedules together in a coherent and economical manner.
  • This system has several positive results including guaranteed outcome, turnkey solution, single-source accountability, fast-track option, and a guaranteed maximum price.

General Construction

Building from Start to Finish.

  • From inception to completion, our construction management group makes sure the overall planning, coordination, and control will result in a project that meets its budget, deadline, and quality standards. We provide pre-planning, design, construction, engineering, and management guidance that delivers the best possible results.

Future Friendly

Stewardship of Resources. Sensitivity to Their Impacts.

  • LEED is an internationally recognized green building certification system. It provides third-party verification that a building or community was designed and built using strategies aimed at improving performance across all the metrics that matter most: energy savings, water efficiency, CO2 emissions reduction, and improved indoor environmental quality.
  • We believe in this system and are in the process of having more and more of our staff become LEED accredited professionals. As the green movement continues to gain in momentum, we will be positioned to provide the construction leadership needed to build green buildings. This is good for us, good for our clients, and most importantly, good for the environment.
