Schimenti Construction partnered with James Perse to deliver a complete interior renovation of the brand’s latest retail space in Studio City, CA. The 2,200 SF store reflects the brand’s clean, architectural style, featuring a barrel retail ceiling, concrete-based stone flooring, and a stucco-clad entry portal that creates an indoor-outdoor effect. This marks Schimenti’s second project with James Perse, following a previous build in Montecito.

The scope included a complete interior remodel and partial façade updates, along with new mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and sprinkler systems. Early value engineering helped streamline costs, and when design changes or site conditions impacted progress, the team adjusted sequencing, shifting work between ceiling, flooring, and back-of-house areas to stay productive. Three concentrated weeks of overtime and weekend work helped minimize delays, resulting in a one-week schedule push.

Communication remained strong throughout the 18-week project, with the James Perse team regularly joining site meetings and staying responsive across all channels. The result is a sophisticated, intentionally designed retail space that brings the brand’s signature Southern California aesthetic to life in a highly curated environment.
