Schimenti Construction completed a 5,500 SF interior tenant improvement project for Kohler, delivering a fully merchandised bath and kitchen showroom that reflects the brand’s craftsmanship and attention to detail. This marks the first collaboration between Schimenti and Kohler, with the project running from March to August 2025.
Located in a high-visibility retail corridor, the showroom was designed to spotlight Kohler’s wide product range in a customer-ready, immersive setting. Schimenti’s scope included the build-out of the base space, coordination of extensive owner-supplied fixtures, and the precise installation of display sections across the bath, kitchen, and hardware categories. By project turnover, the suite was fully stocked and showroom-ready, exceeding initial expectations around fit-out and display integration.
The project mainly stayed on track, with final phases requiring additional coordination due to team transitions and the specialized nature of the showroom. Kohler’s systems, which included city-approved plans, detailed design layouts, and proprietary Smartsheet workflows, required close attention and alignment. While the volume of owner-supplied materials exceeded initial expectations, the team quickly adapted to meet the brand’s standards and installation sequencing.
Clear communication helped overcome onboarding challenges and supported ongoing momentum. The Kohler team remained highly engaged and accessible throughout, offering consistent support via email, phone, and video conference to resolve open items and clarify installation nuances.
As a first-of-its-kind collaboration, the project highlighted the importance of robust preconstruction planning and adaptable execution. With the space now complete, Kohler’s new showroom is ready to welcome customers with a sleek, fully integrated display of its signature offerings.
