Schimenti recently built the Bed Bath & Beyond Flagship store on 620 Sixth Avenue in Midtown Manhattan. The 121-year-old historic building is home to the brand’s newest store concept, with bright open floor plans and crisp finishes. Construction began in December 2020 and encompassed a two-floor retail fit-out including a mezzanine with ten executive suites, a full conference room, and a pantry.

The scope included replacing floor-to-ceiling Landmark windows, as well as the complete refurbishment of all vertical transportation, custom focus area millwork, an extensive custom lighting package, and 30,000 sq. ft. of overseas custom tile on the lower floor incorporated into four fully functional restrooms. In addition, the store has several featured ceilings, including a Hunter Douglas Custom design and multiple cloud ceilings on the main level.

Customers in this store will also be able to use a new scan-and-buy feature recently launched in Bed Bath & Beyond’s mobile app, whereby shoppers can bypass the checkout line and pay in-store from their phones. Shoppers will also have access to Café 3B™, a modern barista serving La Colombe coffee that highlights the flagship’s new, elevated customer experience.
