• Debuted in 2021 by highly-acclaimed, three-Michelin star-awarded chef Dani Garcia, Casa Dani spans 4,000 square feet and encompasses a 160-seat mezzanine dining room with a glassed-in open kitchen, an 11-seat bar, and lounge space, all designed to evoke a traditional open-air Spanish courtyard with walnut parquet flooring and terracotta tiles.

Schimenti played a crucial role in providing Value Engineering and Design Assist services. Our team was entrusted with the comprehensive fit-out of the space, which was executed in several phases. The project encompassed the installation of a new mechanical system, plumbing equipment, and electrical services to support a full-service bar and a 30-foot-long open-concept kitchen.

Amidst the pandemic, our team led a collaborative effort, conducting weekly meetings with trades, the design team, manufacturers based in Spain, and the landlord to ensure seamless coordination and timely delivery of the project.

Casa Dani, from a celebrated Spanish chef, opens in Manhattan West

“New York first met the Spanish chef Dani Garcia at Manzanilla on Park Avenue South. That was eight years ago. Since then, Dani Garcia, his restaurant in Marbella, Spain, picked up a third Michelin star (it’s now closed), and the chef formed his own company, Grupo Dani Garcia. Now, he has returned to New York and is on the marquee of Casa Dani in the Manhattan West complex, west of the Moynihan Train Hall.”
