Schimenti Construction completed the renovation of a 1,700 SF concourse-level space at Rockefeller Plaza for a new Pret A Manger grab-and-go coffee and sandwich shop with seating for up to 18 guests. Located within the longtime home to NBC Studios, the iconic “30 Rock,” this project introduced a high-efficiency food concept into one of New York City’s most recognized and historically significant buildings.

The scope included underslab plumbing, coordination with base-building mechanical systems, new finishes throughout the front-of-house and back-of-house areas, and installation of new HVAC equipment to support kitchen operations. Schimenti also installed owner-provided food service equipment and point-of-sale stations, ensuring seamless integration with Pret’s operational standards.

Located within a heavily trafficked passageway serving daily commuters and office workers, the project required precise logistical planning. All major deliveries, staging, and pedestrian coordination were executed overnight or during early-morning hours to minimize disruption. Through disciplined scheduling and close coordination with building management, the 15-week renovation was delivered on schedule within a complex, high-traffic environment.
