Schimenti Construction partnered with Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) to complete the build-out of a new 24/7 clinic in Santa Clarita, CA. Spanning 4,564 square feet, the facility is designed to support emergency veterinary care around the clock, with dedicated areas for surgery, X-ray, consultations, and treatment. To date, Schimenti has built several VEG locations on both coasts, and this project continues that partnership with a space designed to support the brand’s mission of providing accessible, transparent, and around-the-clock emergency veterinary care.

Reflecting VEG’s immersive care model, the layout was thoughtfully designed to give pet owners visibility into treatment areas and the opportunity to stay involved in their pet’s care throughout the visit. The clinic includes medical gas systems, extensive plumbing, and fully equipped spaces for exam rooms, restrooms, pack and prep areas, isolation rooms, a pharmacy, and laundry facilities. Custom elements such as exam tables, dog cages, and durable finishes were incorporated to support a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Although the project was ahead of schedule for much of the build, exterior landlord delays resulted in an on-schedule delivery at the end of the 19-week timeline. Clear and consistent communication with the client helped ensure a smooth process from start to finish, resulting in a full-service emergency care facility that brings VEG’s unique approach to veterinary care to life.
