Schimenti is proud to earn the 2024 ENR New York Award of Merit for Renovation/Restoration for our Live Nation Brooklyn Paramount Theater project and the Award of Merit for Small Project for Athletic Propulsion Labs (APL).
The Brooklyn Paramount Theater project involved a meticulous 72,000 SF restoration, using cutting-edge construction techniques to revive this iconic 1920s venue. Schimenti transformed the theater’s eight levels, integrating modern acoustic and lighting systems while maintaining its historical integrity.
For APL‘s flagship store in SoHo, Schimenti delivered a 3,800 SF luxury retail space featuring custom artisan plaster walls, Italian travertine flooring, and rare onyx elements. Founders Adam and Ryan Goldston set out to create the world’s most exquisite retail store and achieved that vision through their partnership with Schimenti.
As recipients of these prestigious awards, we sincerely thank the Schimenti project teams, our exceptional project partners, and the respective project teams at Brooklyn Paramount Theater and APL. Chosen by ENR judges, the 2023 Regional Best Projects included 29 winners in New York and New Jersey across different categories. Evaluation criteria encompassed tackling challenges, ensuring safety, maintaining construction/design quality, and contributing to the industry and community.
