ENR East (Engineering News-Record), a leading publication covering the region’s construction industry news, has named Schimenti Construction its 2025 New York Contractor of the Year.

Schimenti has established itself as a specialist in retail, hospitality, and entertainment construction. The firm ranked No. 1 in retail construction on last year’s ENR New York Top Contractor list and among the top firms in entertainment and hospitality. Schimenti attributes its recent success to the completion of 90-plus projects, including building eight flagship stores, and its first $100M+ project.
Recent work includes the U.S. flagship for Parisian retailer Printemps at One Wall Street and the Skims NYC flagship, reflecting Schimenti’s strength in delivering detailed, design-driven spaces. Schimenti also invests in safety and employee engagement, with an EMR of 0.72 and a company-wide Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP).
