Schimenti Construction partnered with TJ Maxx to deliver a new 22,000 SF store in Staten Island, New York. Relocating from its previous Staten Island location, the retailer opened a modern store featuring updated finishes, an improved layout, and a refreshed shopping environment. Positioned closer to the Staten Island Mall, the new location enhances convenience for customers while supporting the brand’s continued presence in the market.

The project included a full interior fit-out of the existing space, incorporating new finishes, updated sales floor layouts, back-of-house improvements, and all supporting building systems required for the retailer’s latest store prototype. Completed on schedule, the project delivers a bright, organized retail environment designed to improve merchandising, customer circulation, and day-to-day operations.

Throughout construction, the project team worked through evolving design documents and numerous revisions that required ongoing coordination among the client, consultants, and trade partners. Through proactive communication, careful planning, and close collaboration, the team successfully maintained the project schedule while executing the client’s vision for its new location.
