Swingers, the exclusive adults-only miniature golf experience that originated in London, has expanded in the United States with its new venue in Washington D.C. This marks Schimenti’s second project with Swingers, following the successful completion of Swingers Nomad in New York City. The Washington D.C. location spans 25,000 square feet across two floors in a new mixed-use building near the Washington Nationals’ stadium. It features three bars, three golf courses, four eateries, multiple lounges, a merchandise shop, and a 3-D photo booth, all designed with a British-inspired aesthetic.

Schimenti was responsible for building and managing this new venue, ensuring effective communication among stakeholders, including the U.K.-based ownership and various vendors. The project demanded meticulous attention to detail, particularly in the execution of millwork elements, an area of expertise for the Schimenti team. The project also incorporated a comprehensive building management system for real-time monitoring and control of system operations, including demand-controlled heating, ventilation, and air conditioning. An entirely LED lighting system also achieves the highest green code requirement at 30 percent better than the maximum wattage usage for the space.

Schimenti successfully navigated all obstacles, providing reliable construction management services to ensure the project’s completion within time and budget.
