Tory Burch, the renowned American luxury fashion brand known for its timeless designs and sophisticated style, has renovated its flagship store at Woodbury Commons Premium Outlets—one of their most prominent and busiest locations. Schimenti Construction was proud to partner with Tory Burch on this significant project following our successful completion of their temporary pop-up store in West Hollywood, CA, as part of the ongoing renovation of their flagship location on Rodeo Drive. The store, now one of Tory Burch’s largest, spans a total of 7,300 square feet, with 5,018 square feet dedicated to retail space and 2,282 square feet for back-of-house operations.

The project, which took 15 weeks from start to finish, encountered several challenges. One of the key challenges was the installation of millwork, a critical component of Tory Burch’s brand aesthetic. The millwork led to complexities that ultimately required significant field rework. Additionally, working within the Woodbury Commons environment presented logistical challenges, particularly regarding site access, working hours, and exterior concrete work.

To overcome these obstacles, Schimenti brought in supplemental carpentry and millwork crews to make necessary in-field adjustments, ensuring the millwork met Tory Burch’s high standards. The mall management was also very accommodating, working with us to find solutions to site access and scheduling issues.

Communication with the client was a critical factor in the project’s success. The Tory Burch team maintained a strong on-site presence, with weekly visits that increased daily as the project neared completion. This close collaboration allowed us to address challenges swiftly and effectively to deliver a successful build for a valued client.
