The New York Real Estate Journal (NYREJ) is a publication that provides news, information, and analysis on the commercial real estate industry in the state of New York. The journal covers a range of topics related to commercial real estate, including construction, architecture, development, finance, and law. It features articles and interviews with industry experts, market data and analysis, and listings of properties for sale or lease.
Each year, NYREJ publishes an issue that highlights women in the construction industry. This year, Schimenti takes pride in announcing that one of our esteemed team members, Pamela Desmond, was featured in a Q&A segment. In these segment, Pamela shared their thoughts on past accomplishments, pivotal moments, and recommendations for encouraging more women to pursue careers in construction.
Pam, in her role as Human Resources Director, reflected on the highlight of her year, which was building her HR team. She emphasized the team’s ability to drive results through growth and change while prioritizing people. She also offered insightful perspectives on ways in which the AEC industry could enhance its recruitment strategies.
We have to proactively engage more women at all levels, but especially at more junior levels, helping them see the AEC industry as an exciting option in which to develop a rewarding professional career.
